Persian Lime Essential Oil is derived from the Persian lime fruits peels. Its biological name is Citrus latifolia Tanaka, a hybrid of a lemon and lime. The Persian lime tree is an evergreen and small tree member of the Rutaceae family. This tree is up to 20 feet tall and it has dark, glossy leaves that release an aromatic scent when crushed. Its fruit is oval or round with a bright green, smooth and thin skin that becomes yellow when it matures.
