Pennyroyal essential oil is extracted from the pennyroyal plants leaves. Also known as Mentha pulegium, the pennyroyal plant belongs to the the Lamiaceae family and is native to India. This small perennial plant is 30 cm tall and has a minty, intense aroma. This plants leaves are oval-shaped and small and are organized opposite each other with the stem. The leaves of this plant usually have a slightly fuzzy texture and are green in color.
